Eighth-grader Margot Hetzke scored 16 of her 22 points in the first half and also grabbed seven rebounds for the Patriots (8-11), who had all 11 players score.

Sophomore Megan Malloy added seven points and six assists for Penfield, which advances to face top-seeded Fairport Thursday in a rematch of last season's Class AAA semifinals.

Junior Hannah Sumey chipped in a career-high 10 points off the bench for Penfield.

Franklin finished 5-13.
